After the Fisherman has had an unsuccessful day of fishing, he experiences even more misfortune when he releases an Ifrit that's been trapped within a brass bottle for over four-hundred years. The Ifrit is pretty cheesed about being imprisoned for so long and threatens to kill the Fisherman...with a FALCON PUNCH!
Hey there! Another piece in the bag! The Ifrit and the Fisherman are treking through the mountains to reach the secret pool with the funky fish. The Ifrit is quite a few paces ahead of the Fisherman; so he's waiting for the little guy to catch up.
I really enjoyed creating this one. It changed loooads throughout the drawing process and I'm happy with how it turned out.
This is the current illustration that I'm working on for my Tales from 1,001 Nights series. I'm enjoying the series so far, however they still could be a little more informed...yeah. I'm a little stuck on how to add more detail to this illustration. I was thinking about possibly putting a bit of texture in the background. I'm not sure, I've hit 'the wall'. Let me know what you think.
It's probably about time that I actually posted some art! So here it is. These are all works in progress but they're not far off being finished. They're illustrations for the story of The Fisherman and The Ifrit from Tales from 1,001 Nights. This is a new way of working digitally for me but I'm really enjoying taking the cutout approach. I haven't done such a good job at giving these and Arabian Nights feel however.
Please feel free to leave any crits and don't be afraid to destroy me!
